TeenTober

Congratulations to Eugenio Cruz Acevedo and Mallory Massey for their remarkable achievements in the TeenTober Bookmark Contest, hosted by the Public Library! Both scholars were honored for their creativity and artistic skills, placing in the competition and earning awards and prizes for their outstanding designs.

TeenTober is a nationwide celebration developed by the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA). Hosted by libraries every October, the event aims to celebrate teens, promote year-round teen services, and highlight the innovative ways these services help teens learn new skills and fuel their passions both in and outside the library.

At the award ceremony, Eugenio and Mallory accepted their prizes in the presence of the librarian from the East Side branch, our principal Ms. Campbell, and their art teacher Ms. Farris. Their winning bookmark designs will soon be featured at the library, inspiring fellow scholars and community members.

Be sure to check out the attached graphic for more details on their success and enjoy the photo capturing this proud moment with our school and library representatives!
