JROTC

On April 18, 2024, Max McCormack earned the Military Officers Association of America's Leadership Award. This award is given to a JROTC student who displayed outstanding leadership throughout their tenure as part of our program.  President Bill Johnson, a former Lieutenant Colonel in the US Air Force, of Youngstown State was the keynote speaker and one of the award presenters.  During Max's two years in the JROTC program, he was the LET 1 and Varsity Drill and Color Guard Commander, a member of the Raider Challenge Team, Academic Challenge Team Captain, Academic and Leadership Bowl Teams Captain and held the position of Company Commander as a Cadet Captain.  Other award winners included members of Air Force JROTC programs from Austintown Fitch, TCCTC and New Castle, and Senior ROTC Cadets from Youngstown State University who will be commissioning as officers into the United States Army this year.
