The Golden Bear Battalion and East High School had a highly productive day during their quarterly blood drive, setting a new record with 21 pints of blood donatedāthe highest total in the schoolās history. Although 12 potential donors were turned away due to low hemoglobin, missing identification, or incomplete permission slips, the drive was still a resounding success.
According to the local Red Cross director, the donations collected will assist or save up to 63 lives. So far this school year, East High has contributed nearly 60 pints of blood, making a meaningful impact in the community.
In addition to the successful blood drive, 12 East High students completed the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB), taking an important step toward potential military and career opportunities.
The Golden Bear Battalion continues to lead efforts that benefit both the school and the wider community. Paws Up to all who participated and made the day a success!
