The Care Closet is a resource room that provides scholars at East High School access to food, hygiene products, and clothing. The Closet has a refrigerator and microwave and is stocked with “kid friendly” foods that they are able to not only enjoy, but also heat up and cook themselves if necessary. It was started to enable our scholars and staff access to basic necessities here at school so they can concentrate on classroom instruction and learning. The faster the basic need is met, the better chance the scholar and staff have at getting back to learning and teaching.

The Social Worker is the liaison in the school who also operates the “Closet” from 8:30 am - 9:30 am and 1 pm - 2 pm daily.
